Pads not triggering on every hit

hi, new Tempest owner. I am in 16 Sounds mode and on some projects I load in the pads only trigger every other or three or four hits. Hopefully something easy I have missed?

Calibrating the pads didn't help but then I did the oscillator calibration and now the pads are triggering every time, for now.

Nah was mee being a noob and not understanding the note stealing of the voice outs...
