Note-to-key mismatch in newly purchased Rev2

Note-to-key mismatch in newly purchased Rev2
« on: March 03, 2019, 09:56:08 AM »
Hi all,

I just bought my Rev2 a week ago and noticed from the start that the notes and keys are not correctly mapped and shifted by one whole tone. For example when I press the key G I get the note A or when I press C I get a D and so forth.

I have calibrated the oscillators and this did not change anything. Any quick help you can offer?

Thanks very much! I'm excited to be part of this community!

 :)

Calibrating the pitch wheel should fix that.

Checked the Master Tuning in the Global Parameters? Should be at 0.

The master coarse tune is set to 0 when there is this note shift. Once I set it to +2 notes and keys align. I can of course keep it like this but I wonder if my rev 2 is faulty?!

If you are using a DAW make sure that the midi channel hasn't been transposed. This got me once in Nuendo until I checked the midi channel's modifiers. Somehow, as I was creating my new project template to add the Rev2, I managed to change the channel's transpose modifier setting to 1 semitone sharp.  :o  So every new project I started had the Rev2 transposed up 1 semitone. I corrected it but it had me scratchin' my head for about 24 hours.

This happened when I got mine and to my buddy. Found out the master tuning was set to something other than equal temperament from the factory, which is odd but not a big deal. Somebody over at DSI must be making some wild shit haha
