I might get shot down here, but I don’t remember the SCI P2000 library being anything like as good as the Akai S900 library. I don’t think it did the P2000 justice. In fact it was so easy to sample stuff with the P2000 and the quality was very good (even if you were resampling stuff from other samplers!) I built my own library. - which is where the DPX1 came in coz that gave me access to Emulator II, S900, Ensonic Mirage and P2000. Apart from the great sounding filters, the P2000 had some very useful tricks, e.g. backward and forward looping, this made relatively short samples sound more or less loopless, great for choirs, big pads, and string sounds.
In fact I loved the P2000 sound so much back then I owned 2 of them (P2000 and a P2002)
