Prophet 2000 presets recreations for the Prophet X?

Prophet 2000 presets recreations for the Prophet X?

With Sequentialís newest sampler (Prophet X), I think it would be awesome to give a nod to Sequentialís first sampler, Prophet 2000. Im not sure if 8Dio will ever do a soundpack that has samples of the original P2000 prestets but I thought I might try and do some recreations with 8Dioís onboard samples already. Unfortunately, I donít have any clear references to the original Prophet 2000 presets (a lot of the YouTube demos are not good quality), so Iím curious if anyone has any clear sounding references for 10 or so of the original factory presets of the Prophet 2000 so that I might attempt some recreations. From the sounds of it, it looks like a lot of the original factory presets oddly focused on bells and organ sounds. Not sure if anyone at the Sequential office has any info on the Prophet 2000 at all, but if they do, Iíd be grateful for any help they can offer.

Iím pretty sure I still have some P2000/2002 disks and although I no longer have a P2000 I do still own a working Oberheim DPX1 thatíll play the presets. The DPX1 does produce sounds quite close to the P2000, even though itís analogue filter chips were SSM not Curtis.

Yeah any info or proper demos of the P2000 seem really scarce. I might message Sequential directly to see if they have anything.

I might get shot down here, but I donít remember the SCI P2000 library being anything like as good as the Akai S900 library. I donít think it did the P2000 justice. In fact it was so easy to sample stuff with the P2000 and the quality was very good (even if you were resampling stuff from other samplers!) I built my own library. - which is where the DPX1 came in coz that gave me access to Emulator II, S900, Ensonic Mirage and P2000. Apart from the great sounding filters, the P2000 had some very useful tricks, e.g. backward and forward looping, this made relatively short samples sound more or less loopless, great for choirs, big pads, and string sounds.
In fact I loved the P2000 sound so much back then I owned 2 of them (P2000 and a P2002)
