tempest with ableton problem

So this is what I'm doing, I record a tempest loop into ableton, instert a new audio channel so I can record a tempest bassline on a separate channel but some beeping noise from ableton plays everytime I play a pad.
Anybody know why this happens? would be greatly appreciated.. since i just sorta figured out how to sync ableton with my tempest. Apparently theres something I'm not doing right.

Are you trying to just play the baseline manually into an ableton audio track or trying to MIDI synch a sequenced bass line? Are there any other tracks in your Ableton track that are MIDI tracks? if so you can try to mute them to see if MIDI is triggering some other track. You can remove midi completely by physically disconnecting the midi din/usb cable to troubleshoot.
