Below is a description of “Peak Hold” from the DSI Evolver manual:

External Audio Input:
The Peak Hold can be used to control the VCA or Filter level, or the sequencer can trigger the envelopes. This allows one audio signal to control another for gating, filtering etc.

But maybe, it should of been labelled ‘Threshold” in the Pro-2’s modulation window and not “Peak Hold”?

Threshold: 0...127—(In the ext input tab in the OLED display) Sets the threshold above which external input signals will trigger the Pro 2’s Gate and envelope follower. Triggering these from an external input allows you to drive the Pro 2’s envelopes, sequencer steps, and more with guitars, drum machines and so on.

FYI:  “Peak Hold” can also relate to the actual envelopes, but I do not think it applies to the Pro-2 in this scenario.

Envelopes:
Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release (ADSR), an AHDSR envelope also implements what is called “Hold”. Rather than decaying to the sustain level immediately after the initial peak as in ADSR, an AHDSR envelope allows you to set a duration that the signal remains at the peak before initialising the decay phase.
