Assignable sus pedal

Does anybody else see a great need for assigning the sus pedal to separate layers? For example I frequently wish I could use the sus pedal on the left side of a split patch so that I could sustain L hand pad chords while tweaking the parameters on my R hand lead. This seems like a pretty frequent thing I see people do with separate synths at once so I’m surprised I haven’t heard more demand for such a feature.

Im new to synths but im learning and yes, this would be nice. I was actually hoping there was an easy way to do this on the board itself.
