Can someone help me test the OB-6 Headphone output

Can someone help me test the OB-6 Headphone output

community.

OB-6 owners, can you verify if you hear a loud pop at the headphone output when you turn the instrument on/off? would someone be willing to even make a video with audio from the headphone output to show this?

I know this sound is normal (i have spoke with DSI about this) but I need to show this to someone I sold my ob-6 to.

if anyone can help I would appreciate it. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Yes this is normal for the OB6.

Actually its pretty normal for most amplifiers (Headphone or other) unless they have been explicitly designed to disable the output on "power-on" and "power-off".

On my unit (OB6 Module version) there is a small click followed by a medium level "thump" in the headphones when powering up the unit. Perfectly normal.
There's also a loud click when turning off the unit.

Hi, yes. Although I don't know if it's absolutely necessary, I simply disconnect my headphones from the back of the OB-6 (keyboard version) when turning the synth on/off, just to protect it.
