New Prophet 12 High Pass Distortion

New Prophet 12 High Pass Distortion
« on: February 06, 2016, 05:32:10 AM »
I'm wondering if anyone else has distortion on certain voices (I hear it when the LEDs for 2, 6, and 8 light up) when playing various notes in lower octaves (d#2, a#1, c#2, d#2, a#1, d#2 in the attached pattern) using program #12 in factory bank 4? I've heard other programs do the same thing and am starting to wonder if something is wrong with my Prophet 12.

It seems to be related to the high pass filter. If you set the resonance as high as it will go and then turn the filter down between 0 and 30 (which the PrettyBells program seem to do) you can hear it. I would expect it to happen on all voices or not at all, but I don't really understand how this thing works, so maybe I'm expecting the wrong behavior.

Is it just me?

Err... Never mind.

I had performed an auto tune but then immediately installed OS 1.3, which probably "reset" my filter tuning. Doing an auto tune again (just now) seems to have fixed it.

I should work for DSI tech support. :D

Yes sir! 8)

I've decided that my default answer to most problems is going to be: update OS, reset globals, tune filters.

Still not fixed? Send to DSI.
