Factory reset???
« on: September 01, 2018, 12:53:25 PM »
How do I do  factory reset? I recieved a new one with some altered user banks and want to get it to factory fresh condition.  I did a global reset but I think there has to be a way to do a factory reset. Thanks

down + up + global gives you access to an (undocumented) debug menu which allows different kinds of resets

I don't know the way to do that, but I see no reason to either, since the factory user banks are the same as the preset banks anyway. So all the "factory" user patches are still available in the preset banks.

No idea. I haven't tried any of these myself.

I’m pretty sure I recently read here about a function which will copy all factory banks to the corresponding user banks (thus setting the banks to the way they come from the factory).

Yes that is one of the functions.

That service menu actually also lets you copy banks from the user area, into the factory area, for those who do not want to keep the factory ones... this is also possible by just having an editor that save programs via SysEx into the factory area, but if you do not have an editor that allow this, you can use the service menu to do it... a bank at a time though.
