I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but I googled how to get bell/chimes from a synth, and none of their ways were working. But I took a few ideas and pretty much stumbled on a chime that sounds exactly like a doorbell chime. Forgive my amateurish descriptions of settings.
I also don't know how to post recordings yet, but I'm working on it.
Using only VCO2 (as it has the better triangle wave):
-FREQ full clockwise
-Detune centered
-Waveform full counter-clockwise
-KEYBOARD button on
MIXER:
-VCO1 minimum
-VCO2 maximum
Sub Octave full counter-clockwise
FILTER:
-FREQ at 2 o'clock (vary narrow range here where it works. Turning only a tiny amount changes the chime)
-RESONANCE at full clockwise
-NOTCH full counter-clockwise
-TRACK half or full, on or off. Adds a subtle nuance.
ENVELOPES:
-Both ATTACK knobs full counter-clockwise
-Top DECAY at 12 o'clock, bottom DECAY at 2
-SUSTAIN both knobs full counter-clockwise
-RELEASE top knob at 3 o'clock, bottom knob at 2
AMOUNT:
-Top knob at 2 o'clock (another very narrow range to get the chime sound), bottom at full clockwise
No X-Modulation, no VCO1, no LFO, don't even need effects as it has a natural reverberation, or ringing out.
Now I just need to learn the notes to "Tubular Bells," and "Carol of the Bells." Just in time for Christmas.
Is there a section such as, "How to make this sound?"
