Yanny or Laurel? And (how) does it impact your perception of your instrument?

Background: earlier this week the world was split into two opposing camps - but instead of fighting over religion, borders or resources, the disagreement was over whether a short audio clip was of a person saying 'Yanny' or 'Laurel'.

I did a composition with Laurel/Yanny last night.

https://soundcloud.com/beige-maze/laurel

The sound source is Laurel/Yanny in Phonogene, with various types of modulation applied to speed, and the clip is often broken into grains and stepped through via an LFO. It's also run through a filter (Ripples), with bandpass and lowpass outputs mixed together in separate VCAs to reveal different bands of frequency throughout the piece. Finally, this filter mix is processed by feedback (DSM03).

Whether the clip functions as Laurel or Yanny should change throughout the piece, depending more on the cutoff and prominence of the bandpass filter than anything else.
