Question about bootup number on display(6)

Might be something with the name of the synth/number of voices or something insignificant, or might be something diagnostic...man I'm curious......a 6 is displayed before the os version during bootup on the OB6......what does it signify?  Sorry, just curious...drives me nuts wondering what it is.

I always thought it was in reference to the name of the synth being the OB-"6".

Ive never paid this any attention. Ive a launch day unit, serial #100. I just recall seeing the firmware popup then go to the last used patch...
