Noob noob question, looking for a saint

Noob noob question, looking for a saint

I hope the more experienced users will pardon me and will like to give me a hand ^_^

My tempest is at the moment my only midi device that I can’t hook properly with ableton live: when recording a beat using the pads on the tempest I always get a delay on recorded notes. I tried to use the track delay to compensate but with no significant result. Any hint? Thanks, and have a happy new year!

Ps I use one channel for pad control
Out and one for pad control in, I hope that’s correct.

Thanks for your reply! Video is helpful but that is not exactly the issue I e counter: everything is ok when playing back a recorded sequence writtendown by hand on the piano roll but when I try to record a sequence live using the pads, notes are recorded with A delay

If you have any quantise assigned to roll pads, if you record anything the Tempest will automatically quantise what you record, if you want it exactly as you play turn the quantise off whilst you record, possibly this is the reason your experiencing a delay?

Also try resetting system parameters and make sure your on the latest firmware.

If your still experiencing this delay I suggest you contact the support team.
