Tempest USB to Thunderbolt

Hi there,

Has anyone attempted to use a USB to Thunderbolt adaptor on a MacBook Pro? I was wondering if this would work and would still allow Ableton to recognize the Tempest. I'm trying to decide between purchasing a USB hub, or this Thunderbolt adaptor as it's quite the hassle only having 2 USB ports on these macs. Thanks.

I have a Sonnet adapter, which I've been using for connection to a Virus Ti. Mostly works OK.

However, you choice might be more based on what other devices you have connected. If you're not audio streaming, it probably won't make a huge amount of difference bandwidth-wise.
