Pedals

Pedals

Hi,

Ok just took delivery of a new 16 voice Rev 2. Looks like it might be a keeper. So now I'm thinking pedals. Someone mentioned at the other popular forum half pedal damper pedals dont work for sustain, so I'm looking at the Yamaha FC4a for sustain and Yamaha FC5 for the Sequencer start/stop, anyone use either of these with success? Does changing the polarity in the global menu effect both the sustain and seq. jacks? Lastly would a Korg XVP-10 expression pedal work?

Thanks

I own a FC4A and yes, changing the polarity works. It's also correct that a pedal with half-damper functionality like the FC3A won't work because the sustain on the REV2 only functions as an off/on switch.

When using sustain pedal, remember to set the appropriate global parameter to "X Note Priority R", where X=the various choices. R is for release, I believe.

The R designation is necessary for sustain pedal use.

Aha! That could have been confusing .. thanks!
