Install new knob kit for Prophet '08 desktop

Hello,

I just received my new knob kit for my P'08 desktop:

I'm now trying to install them. I didn't have any problem with the encoders that I was able to easily pop off. But for the rotary knobs I'm having trouble pushing the new knobs all the way and I'm afraid to push too hard. Is there an installation guide somewhere or something I'm missing? Are the new knobs supposed to go all the way?

I am sure there is an installation guide, I had mine done a few years ago - though I had it professionally done as I did not trust myself. From memory (and I could be wrong) I thought the guide came with the kit.

I would contact DSI support first to see if they have something which can help you.

EDIT2: By the sounds of it you don't need to modify the board itself (mine was an older one and required this). The knob do not go down all the way there is about a 3ml gap between the bottom of the knobs and the surface of the synth. Making this mod was the best thing I did for my P08 for sure!

Yeah only had to change the knobs in my case. Seems you're right they just don't go all the way :p thanks for your help!
