Collaborative Tempest Album
« on: September 07, 2017, 07:47:10 AM »
Who wants to put a collaborative album together? I used to subscribe to Tom Cosm back when we first came up with Cosmic Core. I think it would be rad to do the same featuring the Tempest. The album will showcase one track per artist. We can setup some rules to ensure that the Tempest is either 100% on the song or at least 50%. It would be awesome if one of us could master the tracks (has the skill not just the plugins *grin*). We will also have to set a date for final submission.

Looking for interest right now...if you are interested please post here;)

I can't say for sure that I'd have the time, but I do like the idea; especially if the challenge is to make the tracks using the Tempest as the ONLY sound source.  Otherwise, I'm less interested.  It just depends on whether the deadline works with my tour schedule... Keep me posted, Lucid.

Cheers!

Will do. If we delay the timeline too much it may be a problem but I am thinking a Christmas Release party is more than adequate. Even if someone has an existing track which is good. I like the challenge of putting a track together. Once we have enough interested people, we will have to get organised. I think, if we can pull this together and push for a proper publication 2nd review of the Tempest we even have a chance to have our music heard by a larger audience. Fame and Glory aside...making music is what we do. A little structure may even make us better musicians...GASP!

I need some volunteers with mastering experience and graphic design. External processing is fine. Using the box standalone or sequenced from DAW are both acceptable. The key is that the Tempest alone is the sole sound generating source. There aren't many tracks out there without processing of some sort and the goal of this is to polish this to show the best possible use for the Tempest. However, if you choose not to use FX that is fine. I generally don't and prefer the raw sound. However, different genre's demand fx.

Thanks for participating Monocon.

ROBH - Good question. 7min tops. Unless there is a compelling reason to keep the track rolling as I am alway open to the creative.

Hey, great idea. I would love to get involved in that. I hope, the fact it's my first post on the forum here is not a problem.
Oh, hello everyone! :D
