VCA misc. parameters constant sound

VCA misc. parameters constant sound
« on: July 14, 2017, 11:33:05 AM »
Hello,

When I change the VCA amount in the misc. parameters, it doesn't change the amplitude of the sounds, but it does add a constant held note to every patch. The only thing that fixes it is bringing the VCA (any patch's VCA) down to zero.

Anyone having a similar experience?

Thanks,
Bobby

That's exactly what VCA Amount is supposed to do. I've used it for building drones before, but for almost all conventional synth sounds it should be left at 0.

I would use Amplifier Env Amount or Program Volume in Misc Parameters to change the volume of the program.

Ah! Thanks so much for the reply. I was totally misunderstanding the difference between program volume and VCA amount. Thank you very much.
