Because it helps clear up some crazy talk people seem to not understand. I have known for a long time that digital waveforms sound great with analog filters because I had a Korg DW-8000. As for DCO vs VCO. Well this is just crazy talk. There is nothing worse than playing a polyphonic synthesizer with 8 vcos all drifting out of tune and sounding worse than digital aliasing. Unless this design is really really good, I sure don't want VCOs in a polyphonic synthesizer all drifting out of tune. I don't hear any desirable difference. The only place a VCO sounds good to me is monophonically.
