Upon professional inspection of photos, it has Pro II stamped on it's PCB. I guess originally it would be a spiritual successor to a sequential circuits monophonic keyboard that I never have seen (Pro-1?). So, it is really a prophet on the inside. For reasons I don't know, they made it MonoPhonic and painted it to look like a Bee. Still, I love this keyboard.

Makes sense considering it is essentially one voice of the Prophet '08 series with the addition of a sub oscillator.
