OB-6 won't update OS over USB

Hi

Just got my first Obie and started out by updating its os from 1.0 to 1.2. I've done this before twice with my Prophet 12, using midi ox and the exact same setup, so I know my setup is correct. I followed all of dsi's instructions for updating the 6 via midi but the 6 does absolutely nothing when I send the sysex. Anyone had a similar problem or know what I can do to fix it? I've emailed support but they won't respond until after the weekend. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hi and welcome Neonjung (AKA KT909 on GS ;-).

I suggest reading the Operation Manual on page 68-69, under "If the OS failed to upload correctly when you update".
There's a mention of a bootloader mode (failsafe) but it only works through the MIDI port, not USB, so you'll need a MIDI interface to try that.
