Tempest is the master clock
Voice 1 = kick to mixer
Voice 3 = synth sound to mixer (some reverb and delay)
Main outs = all other drums to Virus FX
PAD 16 = sends the same MIDI to 2 different Virus tracks
OP-1 free of sync playing tape and occasional keys

Annnnd Still, the KING of Drum Machines...

This is an updated version of a track I'd produced a couple of years ago. This version really shows what this beast is capable of imo. Little early for Halloween, yeah I know lol. Change the res to HD if you can.

I can't think of another drum machine that I could create this composition on. Every drum, percussive and musical sound was created on the Tempest- no other instruments were used.

If you were ever thinking about selling your Tempest, don't. :)

That was fantastic! I actually just programmed the Chariots Of Pumkins (Halloween III) sequence/beat on my Tempest.

Thanks for the much-appreciated compliment!😀 It really is a fantastic and fun to use drum machine; it's my favorite for sure and I have a few of them- none that inspire me more than Tempest. Halloween III - Season of the Witch...8 more days till Halloween, Sillllver Shamroooock! Lol, I have the bluray movie set- big fan of the franchise, no surprise there!

I'd love to hear your beat if you could link me to it. Have a great day.🌞

Hey everyone! Don't know if people still actually look at this thread (I see that there's been no new posts in over a year lol), but here is an old video from 2021 when I did the album release "show" for my debut.

This is a video of a livestream performance. That was the only way I could perform back then because it was during the peak of the covid lockdown here. Pretty proud of this performance, a few goofs here and there, but overall it went mostly well.

These are all songs written and performed entirely on the Tempest with no other effects or synths added.

If you like this, check out the album, called Ode to Tempest (a bit cringe I know), which sounds even better. I actually posted the full album on this thread a few years ago, but here's a new link: https://youtu.be/pjeXOgHSI64?si=YzO5aLvmOdZBI2ts

P.S. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to embed video on here :'(

A few years ago, I decided to do a little sound design in the Tempest, to the tune of the Quake soundtrack.
Even though the original score can be sample-heavy at times, I was pretty pleased with what I was able to come up with.

I started on a second track from the soundtrack, but without a sampler, it's missing too much. I kept it unlisted, but if I'm going to share it anywhere, it might as well be in this thread.

And here's a track I made around a beat that I've had sitting on my Tempest for a long time.

I think I just pasted the video URLs. They don't embed in the preview, but they do in the post.

Hmm... I did the same. I wonder why it didn't work for me... Which type of youtube url did you post? The one in the search bar or the one from the share function?

Got it! Thanks! Sorry I could've sworn I tried that already, but I guess I missed the most obvious thing lol.
