Basic Dub

This is really well done.  Patient and savvy, as good Dub should be!

It has definitely earned a place in my all-Tempest playlist...

Cheers!

Tempest doing a lot of the heavy lifting here... I'm using the Deluge to sequence beat changes and the one melodic part we're allowed(!) Other melodic parts were recorded into the T's internal sequencer.

A three minute jam, sending one sound to each voice and individual output. Some Valhalla reverbs, a bit of side chain compressor and having some fun with resonance, cutoff, fx strips etc in 16 mutes mode... A minimalistic approach, where I'm trying to get more out of less.

Here is a live performed mashup I did using the Tempest, with some finger drumming beat-wide params tweaking.
at the end there's kind of a cyber-punk perc solo:o
you can really play on it as percussion and the beast go wild

I have always dreamed to build a futuristic synth drum kit, here it is ! putting together the best drum synth in the world
Checkout the Tempest playing that beefy bass, percussion and being tweaked to the oblivion at the end of the track.
HH, percussion, kick and routed separately - i use T distortion only on the mid-freq percussion, since it destroys the bass.
HH and perc routed to FX+Reverb

The Tempest
Nord drum2 for it's incredible dynamic response
Push 2 as the finger-drumming sampler

OK, so this a a bit non-standard for here but I hope its relevant. All the audio FX for this game were created on the Tempest with pretty much nothing else but an outboard delay and reverb, sometimes a couple of other pedals.

Much of the music was created on the Tempest too! You can wishlist the game on Steam here.

muleskinner that is super impressive! Really like the art style on that one.

Did you utilize the Tempest's sequencer during recording or did you use an external/software one?

Thanks!

The vast majority of the FX were designed as a single sound so no sequencing necessary. I often use 'square wave' envelopes (zero attack and decay, long delay and long peak hold) to create sequences of up to four notes (even more if you're clever) within a single sound. Takes a bit of trial and error but it works and simplifies things when you have well over 200 sounds!

For the more complex FX and for the music I used the Tempest's internal sequencer (for the drums, the melodic parts on the backing music I used Logic).

I don’t own a Tempest but I stumbled over these Videos.
I’m quite impressed what the Tempest can do and I ask myself do I need one?

Because I’m not in EDM and I rarely use Drums in my Ambient music I never bought a Drum Maschine. Is there any DSI Synth who can enter in this Tempest Sonic territory? I think a problem can be that no DSI synth offers the multitimbral features as the Tempest do, isn’t it?

Both Videos are from the same guy, the second one is shown a public live performance which is really cool!  :)

Yet another gig with the Tempest.
This time all the percussion and HH are finger drummed on the Tempest
each voice receives a different delay / reverb FX, only conga like percussion are routed thru the distortion and compressor.
Toms are played on Nord drum 2

Usually my Tempest sits in the studio where I play percussion with a 3 piece group. Since I'm all alone, I thought I'd start building beats and sharing that with others. Enjoy! :)
