Default octave on pad?

Is there a way to set a default octave on pads? Especially with external gear. I would like to set c3 and replace c4 as default.

I don't know but I needed to do this too the other day - only I wanted to change to a different note altogether.

I tried to take a look on the system menu but couldn't find anything relevant...

The only place i've seen it is in 16 tunings but if you are trying to transmit a different MIDI note number you could change the pads note assignments - System:MIDI Remote Pad Play -> MIDI Note:Pad A1-A12,B1-B12
