Title: MIDI note receive

Very seriously thinking of buying the prophet 6
A bit disappointed with just 4 octaves.
Would it respond properly to my other 76 and 88 boards via midi in the same way that the desktop version can

I see absolutely no reason why it shouldn't do that.

It does for sure.  I use a 73 Nord Stage 2 to trigger the P6 and it will respond to the full 88 note range-
