Hi Guys,
It is a sad day but I am thinking of selling my PEK with PE Kit as I want to get a Modal 002 and I need the space.
I have been trying to work out the value on the second hand market.
Anyone have any ideas how much they are worth?
Or know anyone that is after one, I am on the south coast of England near Hastings.

If I had the money, I'd gladly take them off your hands, Bob - both instruments.
I do watch the market here in the US for Evolvers. In terms of dollars, a reasonable price for the PEK would be $2,000, and for the PER, $1,000 - $1,200. I've watched a number of PEKs going for $2,500 get reposted several times, so that price does seem a bit too high.
It is a natural progression to go from an eight-voice Evolver to an 002. You're probably making a prudent decision. But I'm glad I'm not faced with it, because I'd find it very difficult. There's just something about an Evolver, from the sound to the appearance.

Let us know if you sell it. I wish I had the money i'd buy the PE.

Thanks guys.
It's amazing they are going for so much, I had guessed around £1100 ($1400) for the PEK.

It probably helps that the instruments are fairly rare. I don't know what the final price was, but I saw a PEK selling on Ebay late last night for about $2,000.

One has just been put on eBay in the UK, I will keep an eye out and see how much it goes for...

I recently got mine (from Peter Dyer no less :) ), for about $2k with a sorta janky hardcase, shippped. Worth every penny. If I had been local, I'm thinking it would have been more like $1850-1900.

Did you manage to sell or are you still thinking about it? I might be interested (based in London)

I sort of had a change of mind and decided I didn't need the modal 002 and should stay where I was, sorry.

No probs - let me know if you ever change your mind though, especially about the PER.
