Title: Morphing issue.
Post by: Alphatrev on April 24, 2023, 10:15:32 AM
New Pro 3 owner here. This is my first analog synth so I am a novice here. My unit does appear to have the latest update, and I have tried setting up a couple of morphing sounds, but it never seems to get there. I am choosing 'all parameters' and the sequencer value knob to do the switch, but when I morph, I get a sound that is nothing like the target sound. Am I missing something?

I did try using different encoders, just in case I am not getting the full morph, but they all go to 255, and I end up with the same unusable sound.

I think I have figured it out? You can only morph between compatible patches (for want of a better explanation). Basically, patches made of the same stuff?

There are some limitations, like you can't move between filter types or wavetable waveform selection. But even in this scenario, you should be able to morph between non-excluded parameters.

The only way I can get a usable result is if I morph to a slightly modified version of the same sound.
