Am I correct in assuming the Set 2 Banks 9-16 FACTORY and Set 2 Banks 9-16 USER banks are identical?
So if I want to preserve my user patches in the lower banks then just uploading the Set 2 Banks 9-16 FACTORY should give me the new patches w/o erasing whatever currently exists in the User banks?

Hi,
I just updated my Take5. The update runs correctly. But after turning the synth off an on after the installation (that was finished as the screen displayed I had to do it), I notice that the news banks are emply (all showing : BasicP#).
What should I do to access the new sounds ? Should I run the update again ?

Yes I've seen this in the meantime.
BUT, I send the Take5_Main_2.0.0.0.syx and waited the synth to finish the installation.
Turning off and on again : the new banks are still empty ! OS is being updated to 2.0.0.
Any help ?

The new sounds aren't automatically installed with the new OS. You have to "install" them afterwards/separately by sending the corresponding sysex file (https://davesmith.wpenginepowered.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Take5-Factory-Programs-Set2.zip)

No, you should load only one of them. They’re exactly the same patches but one of them installs in factory banks 9-16 whereas the other one installs in user banks 9-16.

I only installed Set 2 but I still have blank patches in some locations. Update: Ok, I think I got all the patches in factory banks. I believe it just left a few init patches in user banks, but that is ok as those could be foundations for my own sounds. I think I got them all now.

Man, did the update do something with the output levels in a good way? Either that, or new patches, this thing sounds great! Huge sounding.
