Title: Split Mode - different presets per layer?
Post by: glassofjameson on February 21, 2023, 12:57:07 PM
Hi Everyone
I recently got a Rev2 and have never been happier with a synth.
I'm wondering if it's possible to allocate two different presets into layer A and layer B? Even if it's just a single layer from one of the factory presets?

I'm guessing this can't be done since most presets are dual/split anyway, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
Thank you all so much!

Don’t have a Rev2 but on the Prophet 08 you can do this - in the Globals there is a Program Copy option. This allows you to copy, for example, layer A from program 23 into layer B in program 61.

If it’s possible on the P08 I am pretty positive it will we possible on the Rev2 - I would check out the Global Parameters section in the manual in case of any doubts.

EDIT - I just looked at the Rev2 manual and couldn’t see anything in there about Program Copy.. I’ll leave it for someone who has a Rev2 to answer properly. Hope it’s possible!

1. Button: Misc Parameters

2. Param Knob: Scroll to Last Entry

3. Layer Button:  For the layer you want to Edit A|B

4. Use the Bank/Patch encoders to choose the patch you want on that layer.

Alternatively, if you've got an editor/librarian like Soundtower, there's some dedicated functions to copy layers.
