Title: Using Pro3 filter section with guitar
Post by: thuggyBear on February 18, 2023, 10:11:00 AM
Tried running a guitar through the external input to use the filter as an autowah.

Everything seems to be working great, but I can't figure out how to get the envelope of the guitar to trigger the envelope of the filter.

Seems likely that I need to route something to something else, but I am but a humble guitarist and unfamiliar with these sorts of things.

I'm working under the assumption that this is user error.

Any tips?

Just to clarify: I have been fooling around with the instructions on pgs 113-114.

I have been having some difficulty getting it to behave a bit more like the classic Mutron autowah quack.

If anyone has any setups they use for this sort of thing, I'd appreciate the guidance.

Guitar signals are usually weaker than line-level signals, and there may not be sufficient signal for the envelope follower. Try sending the guitar through a preamp before going into Pro 3.
