Title: Problem in split mode
Post by: Damiano on February 03, 2023, 03:14:13 AM
Hello ... I wanted to ask something that I do not understand because it happens, I hope someone can help me ...
if I make some sounds and put them in split mode, one of them no longer feels like it was created but different as if it had a very annoying percussive attack...
Can anyone help me understand?
Thank you

I suspect that you are noticing what happens when you run out of voices/oscillators. I'm going to guess that it doesn't happen on the very first chord?

This happens to me when I'm using a sustain pedal when playing strings with only eight voices (i.e. when in split or layer modes). On a piece that I am currently working on, I play part of it with all sixteen voices/oscillators and then tap the split button to add the second patch (a flute) in split mode for the second part when I don't need the strings as much.

Not exactly like yours, but one voice running gated sequencer had a strange fenomena for me
- I got a dive bomb at some point when it wrapped around
- so depending on split or layer, this voice came into action at different spots due to voices were split between A and B
- so without split, one thing happend and using A and B different thing happend

Calibrating oscillators and filter and envelopes fixed that.
- first calibration hung
- but resetting REV2 and try again worked

Just an idea....
