I waited two years to get a brand new Prophet 5 Rev 4 and have somehow still managed to get serial number 0030 - is this unit likely to be in need of the capacitor fix?

Yes. Better check this by opening it. It should look like this, if the capacitors are already put off the circuit:

ah mans thats annoying, surprised after two years that I can still buy it like this brand new from an official dealer here in Canada lol
Sounds so good already but I guess i'll have to check it this weekend.

Pretty sure that will have already had the mod done at sequential due to the early recall. Drop them an email and they’ll be able to confirm.

Sequential are sending me a new main board for this unit.
and in the meantime it has broken down today anyway.... just white noise and semi locked up on every boot.
