Title: About The Supposed 'Real Time' FX
Post by: muleskinner on August 04, 2016, 08:02:17 AM
Hi,

Maybe I'm going mad but I was sure the FX sliders used to work 'live' when 'playback' was engaged, ie I could hit a pad with an ADSR sound, hold it and modulate the filter (or whatever) via the sliders as the note was playing?

Now I can't get this to work, the sliders only seem to take effect when the note is pressed (or triggered via the sequencer) and keep that value.

Is it possible to use the sliders like this or am I imagining it? I know you could never record these 'real time' movements but I always thought they worked for live playback.

cheers

I'm not at my tempest now (in fact I'm sitting waiting for a train in Toulouse, France!) but isn't there a setting in the global menu where you have to choose between realtime and step for the sliders - maybe this is the issue?

I can't check right now but that menu option is there so that is very most likely it - thanks!

Is that a new(ish) setting? I don't remember changing it ever but maybe it got changed when I updated the firmware or something.

That did it - thanks again! Good to know I wasn't going nuts too!
