Bought my Prophet 5 brand new about a year ago, has never left the studio. All of the sudden, the synth will not let me change the program select buttons. I can change the group and bank, but not the program number. When I press 3, the record button starts flashing. When I press 6, 42C comes up on the screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've has zero luck getting a hold of anyone at Sequential support.

Is USB or MIDI connected to the Prophet? If yes, try it again after disconnecting USB and all MIDI cables and a restart of the Prophet. If it does work without these connection, you might got a MIDI loop. If it doesn't help, you need some tech checking it.

check globals / local control hasn't been set to OFF.
had it happen to me a few times with errant midi messages locking up the device (seemingly)

Sounds like you might have accidentally gone into the debug menu. I managed to do that once but can’t remember the combination that gets you in. Global+ one of the numeric buttons if I recall.
