Title: Pipe organ instrument
Post by: Wasted on June 18, 2022, 04:30:19 AM
Hi all. I've been looking for a pipe organ sample set for a while and had tried the Leeds Town Hall https://www.samplephonics.com/products/free/sampler-instruments/the-leeds-town-hall-organ# but got mixed results.
More recently I came across Piotrs work and have use the Friesach with what I think is terrific results https://piotrgrabowski.pl/friesach/.
In the process I used Lady Gaia excellent PX Toolkit and needed to make a few adjustments to note mappings and tunings but overall the process was straight forward. I now have 44 instruments covering the various stops sampled.

Are you able to share this as a sample pack for the PX?

I was wondering about how to do this so have reached out to Piotr to see if he is ok with it.

Sadly Piotr is not happy with the sharing of his samples in our PX community, due to the change in character (ie limited to 2 samples or 4 if using layered mode)
I include his reply to me in full below:

I'm not sure I would like to authorize the setup, where the sound is so far away from the "original" (without release reverb samples (so basically with truncated reverb), with reduced polyphony and at max 4 stops at once). I think it is better to use dedicated sampler like Hauptwerk or GrandOrgue (free).

Thanks for trying, Wasted. I may have to look at one of the dedicated samplers.
