Title: MIDI 1 Note 1 Chn 1 destination?

What exactly is the mod matrix destination, "MIDI 1 Note 1 Chn 1" (and the other ones like it)? It's grayed out when I select it. What does it do, and how do you use it?

Tech support says: Mod destination MIDI 1/2 Note Chn x is for sending MIDI note information from MIDI output 1 or 2, on specific MIDI channels, from 1 to 16.
