Title: Expression Pedal
Post by: Branwell on February 26, 2022, 07:05:10 PM
First time Sequential owner. What expression pedal models/specs are  recommended for a Take 5? I have Boss (10K), Kurzweil (10K), Behringer (50K), Korg (100K) at my disposal - all "standard" polarity. I assume it can't hurt to try any of these, but any advice first?

Try them and see what you like best.

Handy chart with polarity, resistance etc. here

(Looks like my Korg & Behringer pedals have different polarity to Boss & Kurz.).

So I can get useable results from the Kurzweil CC-1, Behringer FCV-100 & Korg Exp-2 (thats all I have tried so far,). The Global settings menu has a handy polarity selection option. My biggest problem seems to be that there is no global settings option to assign the pedal to control volume control. Using a CV pedal to control volume requires creating modulation slots at the program level. I have posted a more detail explanation in the firmware improvement request thread.

Expression pedal control of filter cut-off, which can be easily selected at global level, is wonderful - feels much more natural and expressive to me than than turning that big knob, but perhaps thats just because of my organ dominated background (ymmv) .

I love this!
It feels much more like a "Wah Pedal".
I never could learn how to work the Mod or Pitch wheels, but the Mod/Wah Pedal is my Bro/b!tch!

Apparently, my foot is less confused than my other hand?
(Or more confused.)
