Title: The new OS 1.2 ???
Post by: Daedalus on January 01, 2022, 01:48:40 PM
Does the new Rev2 OS – 1.2 come with new stuff and fixes, or is it just a renaming of the OS 1.1.5.9.9 ?

Happy New Year 2022 :)

Yeah, 1.2 is just a renaming / official release version of the latest beta.  The Beta 1.1.5.9.7 and 1.1.5.9.9 were the recent releases in 2021 that made updates/fixes:

OS 1.1.5.9.9
Bug Fix: Layered gated sequencers offset issue when in key step mode

OS 1.1.5.9.7
Bug Fix: Layered gated sequencers not advancing through steps properly
Bug Fix: If just Layer A or B is active, the gated sequencer plays all 16 steps in key step mode (arp on/16th), but in stack mode just 8 steps of the sequence are played
Bug Fix: On the Module, arp relatch does not always work
Bug Fix: FX doesn't update when changing programs quickly
Bug Fix: Change master / slave terminology
Bug Fix: Arp/seq on, sequencer only sends note ons
Bug Fix: NRPNs still received when Param Rcv global set to OFF or CC

What about the new release 1.2.1? Just spotted it on Sequential site today, but no release notes or change log to highlight the difference...

Have you loaded it yet? Maybe you could report back and let us know if there are any changes

I'm away from my Prophet at the moment (until mid-Feb.), so am unable to update/test it. Hope someone else can update us!

What about the new release 1.2.1?

Yeh, what is 1.2.1 ?
There is no explanation in the usual forum topic, so we don't know if 1.2.0 needed a bug fix.

Just updated my Rev2 to 1.2.1. Nothing exploded or caught fire, however it would still be nice with a changelog...

If the Vintage Knob feature isn't on it, I won't install it.

Such a feature would probably introduce a major version increment and a lot of hesitation, say 2.1.56.13.7.2

Back on topic  >:(

1.2.0 vs 1.2.1
Still no info notes or email response from DSI on 1.2.1

Dommage, pas de "alerte patch modification" ou "midi in / out signal alert" .
Désolé mais je crois que pour la version Desktop c'est vraiment un énorme manque, mon avis perso :(
Autrement belle machine.

Does the new Rev2 OS – 1.2 come with new stuff and fixes, or is it just a renaming of the OS 1.1.5.9.9 ?

Happy New Year 2022 :)

Salutations, je ne crois pas que beaucoup de membres de ce forum Américain soit en mesure de maîtriser assez bien le français pour échanger avec nous dans cette langue. Mieux vaudrait s'en tenir à l'anglais...  ;)

(Hello there, I don't think that many members of this American forum will be able to master the french language well enough to use it to interact with us. Better stick to english...)

I doubt it's that as much as it is just conventional wisdom that if a poster can't even be bothered to even use Google translate to post a message in the dominant language of the Internet (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_used_on_the_Internet (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_used_on_the_Internet) ),  let alone to a forum of a US-based company, and instead chooses to place the burden of translation on the reader, it's kind of looking a gift horse in the mouth to expect anyone to read ....much less respond..... to a non-English post.  Etiquette is what it is.
