Title: Prophet 5 module USB powering USB midi keyboard

Hi Guys :)

Loving my prophet 5 module what a treat

I read the manual but could not get a straight answer

I want to buy a cheap USB powered midi keyboard

1 can the prophet 5 module power a midi Keyboard ?

2 can the midi keyboard send midi notes simultaneously?

The P5 module features a USB device port not a USB host port. i.e. it can connect to a host like a PC etc and transmit and receive MIDI over USB. A MIDI keyboard would also be a USB device, you cannot plug that directly into the P5 module.

To specifically answer your questions:

1) No. The P5 module does not provide USB power.

2) MIDI notes are sent as key-on and key-off in a serial manner. One note does not have to end before the next begins.
