Title: Load sequence
Post by: jmg8 on September 18, 2021, 05:01:16 AM
Is it possible to load a sequence from another preset while keeping the current sound?
Let's say I make some bass sound that I am happy with and wish to test out some different sequences with it to hear how it could sound. I see it is possible to do the opposite of this, where you can keep the sequence and load different sounds, but I would like to keep the sound and load a sequence.
Thank you for any help

It's essentially the same process.

Write your bass program to a location. Then find the program that contains the sequence you want to use, and press SEQ LOCK. Then go back to your bass program.

Thanks for the reply. I will give this a try.
It doesn't sound very fast though. I was hoping to keep the sound I have and quickly browse through the sequences. Using this technique, I would have to hear the sequence with a different sound first to sort of guess if it would sound good with my bass preset, then lock it and load back my preset. Maybe I will get fast at the process and it will not feel cumbersome.

Another question, do you know if EVERYTHING from the sequence gets locked?
For example, if the sequence contains some modulation of wave shape mod and env decay, would this modulation be locked and then when I load my preset back it will modulate those same parameters?

Part of the reason for me wanting to browse through sequences with my sound locked was to find some happy accidents, where some parameters are modulated in such a way that I might not have tried myself.

Thanks
