Title: Prophet T8 and the OB-6
Post by: rastro2 on September 14, 2021, 03:06:14 PM
Hi,
I just connected my Prophet T8 to the OB-6 and even though it's not full MPE, having Polyphonic Aftertouch is pretty amazing! There are a few quirks:
For some reason it doesn't seem to work when controlling the LFO amount. The LFO is added to all the voices a la mono aftertouch.
Also, since the T8 is 8 voices, 2 notes don't sound after you've played 6 voices. Maybe there's a way around this?
You can put the T8 in Double mode, but then you can only play 4 voices on the OB-6.
Are there any other T8 owners out there that have experimented with this?
Let me know!
Thanks,
Joe

The OB's lfo is a global affair. There can be only one.  ;)  It's not "lfo per voice" capable. Maybe you should check out the Low Frequency Expander device. I think it can do mpe with the additional lfos it adds.
