Just thought I'd say that I have updated to this, and so far it looks like all the MIDI issues I had have been resolved. Will keep an eye on it over the next few weeks and dig a little deeper as the nights start drawing in, and I spend more time in the studio!

Did you updated it by usb key or by midi?

So far, this update has fixed my Prophet XL that has been locking up while running OS 2.2.0. Also, after lockup (prior to 2.2.1) my XL would not bootup after a power cycle. It would get to 100% sample load and then freeze.

If I came back after an hour or so, I could reboot it after a freeze. I then put on 2.2.1. and so far it seems to be working OK. I am loaded down with user samples from Shaw and GeoSynth, so I thought maybe I had that SSD issue people were describing back a couple of years ago.

Note: I did receive an error on my screen on the first reboot after upgrading to 2.2.1.
Error stated was>> Cannot reach audio processor, M:2.2.1, DSP:0.0.0.0.0, FPGA:0,0

After a big gulp, I rebooted a 2nd time and so far it has been loading the OS without an issue. No lockups so far. Fingers crossed.

How are you getting this version; is it beta?  The site is still showing 2.2.0.0
Been waiting for an OS fix to the MIDI control problems.
