Great comparison of the UDO Super6 and P5r4 from Starsky Carr. This one confirmed for me why the Prophet 5/10 is my favorite, but I must say the Super6 is a nice sounding poly. In addition to the tone advantage (to my ears anyway) of the Prophet, what he says about the speed of dialing in great sounds on the P5 compared to the effort on the Super6 is a big reason the Prophet wins in my view.

Because of the color? It comes in black too (which would be my choice). I agree on the pricing.
For me, the territory of the Super6 is already well-covered by other synths, so it is not on my purchase radar at the moment, but I have a great deal of appreciation for the comparison videos Starsky Carr produces, and in the case of this synth, I found interesting the fact that digital oscillators sound as good as they do when compared to the mighty Rev4.

it's more the overall aesthetic than just the colour. it really doesn't look good, very uninviting.

Let me qualify that with "the territory the Super6 covers that I care about" ... (the overall sound palette etc.) Binaural audio is not a feature, in and of itself, I would consider buying a synth for.

Who cares?
I want a great sounding/looking/fun to use synth with a proper keybed and good layout. Super 6 is not it. Also it sounds digital AF.

You can easily achieve the same effect with any synth that has stacks and panning for layers, or even on some that have unison mode. You could do much the same thing with a Prophet 12 for example.
