Hi guys,
Hope all is well.
I just need a heads up regarding installation, am a little confused and this is my first time updating the Pro 3.
Current OS 1.1.0
The manual addendum references that there are two parts to this update;
"There are two parts to the OS update — the Core OS and the Panel OS. Do not attempt to send both of these at the same time or you may “brick” (disable) your Pro 3. Instead, send the Core OS first, then, once it completes writing to the synth, restart the Pro 3. Then send the Panel OS, and once it completes writing, restart again."
I only have 1 file here;
"Pro3_Main_v1.2.0.2.syx"
Is it OK to go ahead and send this file over via SysEx Librarian?
Please note, my current version is 1.1.0..
not sure, would you be as kind to advise me,
thank you,
Ben

Yes, you just need the one file.

The last Panel update was part of the 1.1.0.0 release. As previously noted, it's not needed for the 1.2.0.2 beta since you already have 1.1.0.0 installed.

hi, i'am new here and first saying hello to the pro 3 family ;)
just need instructions how to save 1.1.0 OS in MidiOX via Sysex Dump.
i'm sure you know how to do the dump save...
thank you for your help ! best regards
ps: will the new 1.2.0 influence the software editor and the vst from soundtower somehow ?

As far as I know, there's not a way to save the OS via MIDI SysEx dump. But, version 1.1.0.0 is downloadable from the Pro 3 support page in the Updating the Pro 3 OS (https://www.sequential.com/updating-the-pro-3-os/) right sidebar.
In theory, the Soundtower editor should not be impacted by the 1.2.0.2 beta OS. If they haven't yet updated for the new features, then the patch morphing settings may not be displayed for a patch in the editor. I assume the 5 new previously undefined parameters would be properly saved and restored, but you'd have to check with them. The length of a SysEx patch is still the same.

Thank you for the infos. Very appreciated.
So if I can retrieve the old 1.1.0 when 1.2.0 would fail and crash the Pro 3 totally ? :o
