Title: Prophet 6 oscillator plays the wrong note
Post by: jackfitz on May 30, 2021, 10:12:27 AM
Any chance anyone's had this problem and knows what exactly the issue is? I've had a Prophet 6 for about two years. Today, I started having an issue where one or both of the oscillators (sounds more like it's an issue with oscillator 1, but hard to tell) plays a half step down every six notes or so.

This started after I was playing with the glide function on. When I turned it off, I noticed the issue. It doesn't happen if I have the unison function on, or if I sync the oscillators. But you lose a lot of functionality with "sync" on, so that's not really a fix.

My guess is something's broken and needs to be replaced, but it would be pretty awesome if that were not that case and I could just figure this out.

Hi, had a similar issue, i tried a solution from the helpdesk, and that was : Hold PRESET and press 3.   Worked fine for me.
Best regards,

Thanks to wm for the reply. You guided me in the right direction and the problem is solved! PRESET+3 didn't do it, but that prompted me to look at the calibration part of the manual. (Why didn't I do that before? I don't know. I'm not smart.) Turns out, PRESET+0 calibrates the oscillators. I did that, and now it's good as new! I really appreciate the help!
