Dave, you're killing me...
I'm looking for the ultimate 5-octave poly synth with wheels in the right place.
The Prophet 10 sounds so fat, filter choice and vintage knob are awesome, but I need a few other features...
-Some mod slots (like on the Rev 2)
-Analog distortion, chorus, delay, reverb ( ala P6)
-2-part multi-timbral
-maybe a 2-pole filter option
What a killer synth that would be!

How could you realistically make it 2 part multi-timbral on the front panel with no split or layer buttons and a single patch indicator?

That would be a OB-8 plus effects, right?
;-)
Best,
Steffan

My #1 request is an arpeggiator

Get a Prophet 6

Another request works be a way to quickly shift octaves. Thank you!

A lot of these feature requests are impossible to implement. Dave has stated he wanted the P5/10 to be as simple as possible and close to the original down to the mono output. So requests like multitimbrality, arpeggiators....you might as well drill another hole in the back to make a stereo signal. The P5 and P10 are like the Korg ARP reissues and Moog Model D reissue....they are what they are...instrument for vintage enthusiasts.....warts and all. If you want bells and whistles, get a Prophet 6.

Weirdly, I like the image of:
Prophet 5 = warts
Prophet 6 = whistles
But you're certainly right - the P5 is the P5, it's not a box of "what if?" options and likely offerings. Still, if there's any chance of a Pro 3 style tilt panel in the next OS update...

I knew what I was getting when I bought the Prophet 10 and have no regrets. Still, I don't think there's any harm in requesting features.

If you can explain how they could implement an arpeggiator on the Prophet 10 or Bi timbrality despite the fact there's no front panel options for these features then by all means...

Off the top of my head, press global and release simultaneously to turn the ARP on and off. Speed controlled by lfo or midi clock

Okay and how do you set the arp's direction and range?

I don’t need that stuff. Now you’re the one asking for more features!

You don't need an arpeggiator either.

I want to setup pitch wheel 2st up and 12st down for synth lead. Please add an option to do this!

Being able to invert the filter envelope (negative) would be cool,
