Title: CC 74 Brightness
Post by: Aaron_rev4 on April 25, 2021, 12:54:34 PM
Noticed this in the midi implementation chart. CC 74 brightness. Does not appear to be on the front panel or in the manual. Can anybody confirm what this is? Thanks in advance.

It’s usually filter cutoff.

That's the pedal input for the filter cutoff. The Cutoff on the front panel has a different ID.

Best,

Steffan

I am bumping this to the top because it is not known by most.  Also because it answered the question to me.  I have been occasionally changing the brightness via my Oxygen 8 V2 when I play the drums, and it is a pretty distinct difference when you start mixing in a little brightness.  Here is some brightness in today's live performance at the 48:40 point (https://forum.sequential.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=5299.0;attach=4953) https://www.bitchute.com/video/S3FpeFLxfiUa/ (assuming a few seconds for the setting to show due to the many subroutines before it comes to the video)

I dont think most people know about brightness since you would have to get the midi implementation to even know about it.  I have been using it for nearly a year now without knowing exactly why this is in the midi CCs but not in the panel.
