Title: Filter Pedal jack as CV input for filter cutoff?
Post by: sdiedrichsen on March 02, 2021, 09:27:22 AM
So I have a some Eurorack stuff alongside the P10 and I want to route a control voltage into the filter pedal jack. That does work, but has some limitations:
- the time resolution is quite low, the smoothing in the software doesn't help that much
- the voltage range is very small. I'd expect something 0 - 5 V, but at ~ 1.5 volts it reaches the end. So, an attenuator is a must, no big deal.
- the input doesn't like negative voltages. As soon as the voltage is below zero, I hear some blobs and the synth drops out. I that expected? Is that harmful? Can the synth be destroyed that way?
I use a simple 1/8" to 1/4" T/S cable, no TRS.

Otherwise, I'm very satisfied with my P10. Still living at preset 111 ....

Best,

Steffan
