Title: Highpass and lowpass at the same time?

Hey guys,

I‘ve got a question. Does the very first patch on this demo run both filters, lowpass and highpass, at the same time?
Could you get such a sound out of the P5?

This is not a test, just want to find out which one suits me better. Some help will be very much appreciated.

I know the p5 doesn’t have a high pass filter, but you can get a similar lush sound .

Hard to tell (just listening through computer speakers) but to me it sounds like it isn't both high pass and low pass, it's just a filter envelope -which is affecting the low pass filter. 100% you can do this on a Prophet-5.

Though if you are after advice in regards which to get - Prophet 6 or Prophet 5 - there are a lot of factors. I haven't played a Prophet 5 but I am sure it is a great synth, as is the Prophet 6. Can't go wrong either way. I think it really comes down to what your main needs are, or even better (if you can try them both) - which one inspires you more

Thanks a lot! You‘re right, it is hard to tell, but it might just be the filter envelope. It’s hard decide between the P5 and P6 because both sound so good. P5 conjures up lots of childhood memories when I couldn‘t figure where these sounds from the movies, TV came from.

By the way, I‘m retarded, no political comment intended with my name. Seriously, it‘s one of my former bands. Was in a little bit of a hurry when I chose it and forgot because I‘m not an American. Probably gonna change it.
